Touch-up paint is a great way to keep your Ribble looking sharp after the odd chip or scratch. Here’s how to get the best results.
1. Clean the surface
Wash the area with soap and water.
Wipe it dry with a clean microfibre cloth.
Make sure the surface is free from dust, grease, or dirt before starting.
2. Apply the touch-up paint
Use the smallest brush possible.
Apply a thin layer of paint directly to the chip or scratch, keeping within the damaged area.
Let it dry fully, then add more thin layers if needed.
Building up gradually avoids drips and keeps the finish smooth.
3. Apply the clear coat lacquer
Once the paint has dried, apply a light layer of clear coat using a clean brush.
This protects the paint and gives a gloss finish.
Keep strokes thin and even to avoid runs or bubbles.
4. Allow to dry and cure
Let the lacquer dry fully before riding.
Once cured, the repair will be protected and should blend neatly with the rest of the frame.
