e-Bike Motormaps - What Are They and How to Adjust Them

Whilst the Mahle MySmartbike App has many useful features, one of the most convenient features are the adjustable motormaps. When operating your eBike, you will find that there are three different assistance levels signified by a green, amber and red light on the bikes IWOC. 

These levels are already set from factory, but using the app you can personalise the amount of assistance given in that mode. When you connect your bike to the MySmartbike app and select ‘Presettings, Customise your eBike’ you should see a section called ‘Motor maps’. When you open this screen, you will see three different coloured sliders. Each one of these are in reference to the level of assistance given at the specific colour on your IWOC. Adjust them to a level of your preference, then press save. Now the level of assistance given will be at the amount you have set. 

With X35 systems, you can adjust the level of assistance given. On the new X20 system, you can change the peak power, acceleration and reactiveness of your assistance; allowing for greater customisation.
