When your new eBike arrives, you might notice that the button on the top tube feels solid and doesn’t move. This is called an IWOC, and whether it’s meant to be like that depends on the bike you’ve chosen.

For our flat-bar bikes, we use the IWOC Trio, a more advanced design that’s built for better usability and ergonomics. On drop-bar bikes, however, we use the IWOC 1, the classic design. That’s because drop bars don’t allow for the Trio’s shape and functionality.

If the button on your top tube is metal and features the Ribble logo, that’s a blanking plate – it’s not meant to be pressed. If it’s plastic with a light around the edge, then that’s the IWOC 1 and is used for controlling your e-Bike.

We hope that helps! If you’ve any questions, just give us a shout.
