Unlike handlebars, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to finding the perfect stem length. The best way to determine this is through a professional bike fitting or a visit to one of our showrooms. Generally, female riders, who tend to have shorter torsos and longer legs, often find that a shorter stem works better. For men, stem lengths typically range from 90-120mm, while for women, 70-90mm is more common. Smaller frame sizes generally require shorter stems.

When you select a frame on our site, the stem length will default to our recommended size, but you can adjust this manually by selecting ‘customise bike’.
