Why these measurements matter
Before choosing your frame size, you’ll need two key measurements: your height and your inside leg. These are the foundations of bike sizing and will help match you to the right frame.
It’s easier with a helper, but you can measure yourself if needed.
Measuring your height
Stand upright in bare feet with your back against a wall or door frame.
Place a pencil or pen flat on top of your head, parallel to the floor.
Make a small mark on the wall.
Measure from the floor to the mark – that’s your height.
Measuring your inside leg
Stand upright in bare feet with your back against a wall.
Place a book or ruler between your legs, level with your crotch.
Measure from the top of the book/ruler straight down to the floor – that’s your inside leg measurement.
These two figures will help you choose the frame size that’s right for you.
