The Shimano 12-speed Di2 system has an impressive battery life—lasting around 1,500km between charges, depending on how often you shift gears. But when it does need a top-up, charging it is dead simple.
1. Grab the charger that came with your bike.
2. Plug one end into a power source.
3. Plug the other end into the rear derailleur (see the location in the image below).
4. When the battery is fully charged, the rear light on the derailleur will glow solid green.
If you want to check the exact charge level, you can do so using the Shimano E-Tube app.
Simple as that! Keep your Di2 topped up, and you’ll always be ready to ride.
