When working on your Ribble, it’s important to know how to secure it safely. Never clamp a carbon frame by the tubes — this can damage the structure.
Instead, always secure your bike by the seatpost. This is the safest place to clamp and won’t risk crushing or weakening the frame.
A couple of tips:
Don’t overtighten the clamp — firm enough to hold the bike, but not excessive
If you’ve got a carbon seatpost, consider using a work stand adaptor or a spare alloy post if you have one
By clamping correctly, you’ll protect your bike while keeping it stable for maintenance.
