How to fit 2-piece handlebars

Fitting your 2-piece bar and stem is straightforward — just follow these steps carefully.

Tools you’ll need

• 4mm Allen bit

• Torque wrench

Step 1: Remove the faceplate
Use the 4mm Allen bit to remove the stem faceplate.

Step 2: Position the bars

• Place the handlebars centrally in the stem, using the markings on the bars as a guide

• Make sure no cables are trapped

Step 3: Reattach the faceplate

• Refit the faceplate and insert the bolts loosely to start

• Tighten the bolts evenly in a cross pattern:

  • Top left → bottom right → top right → bottom left

• Use a torque wrench to tighten each bolt to the recommended torque value printed on the bar or stem

Your bars are now correctly fitted and ready to ride.
