Download the ‘My SmartBike’ app on your smartphone or tablet. The app is compatible with any smartphone; simply visit the appropriate app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) to download it.
After downloading, you will need to set up an account. Please note that this process will redirect you to the ‘SmartBike’ website. Once you’ve completed the account setup, return to the app and sign in using your newly created details.
With the ‘My SmartBike’ app installed and ready on your smartphone, you can pair your phone with your e-bike. To do this, ensure the app is open on your phone, keep it close to your e-bike, and turn on your e-bike’s motor system.
With your e-bike powered on and within 2 metres of your smartphone, follow these steps:
- Open the ‘My SmartBike’ app.
- Ensure that all necessary permissions are enabled, including GPS/location and Bluetooth.
- From the main menu, select “Connect my e-bike.” Once connected, the app will display various information about your bike. Some features you will use frequently, while others may be less relevant.
The Mahle 'My SmartBike' app has a number of features, to allow you to get the most from you E-bike. Including:
- Internal Battery: Displays the remaining battery life.
- Estimated Range: Shows how far you can ride before the battery is depleted.
- Motor Maps: Controls the level of assistance provided by the motor.
- Heart Rate Assistant: The Mahle app can use a heart rate monitor automatically change assistant level to help maintain a set heart rate
- Route Tracking: Tracking and recording of your riding to see you riding trends
- Error Codes: Highlights any issue that may be occurring with the electric system for easy diagnostics and repair
