- Remove the bolt, top cap, and 2mm spacer from the top of the forks.
- Slide the bar assembly back onto the fork steerer. Double-check to ensure the bar assembly is seated properly on the steerer. If the bar assembly doesn’t slide on with ease, try loosening the bolt (compression bung) at the top of the fork steerer.
- Tighten the fork compression bung by applying downward pressure until it grips. Then tighten, using the torque wrench fitted with a 6mm Allen bit up to 8Nm.
- Re-fit the 2mm spacer, top cap, and bolt.
- Tighten the bolt until all play or movement is removed from the headset. To check, apply the front brake and gently rock the bike back and forth.
- Finally, tighten the two bolts at the rear of the stem using the torque wrench with a 4mm Allen bit up to 6Nm.
