Overview
We want you to love your Ribble, but if something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.
Our returns policy is designed to make things simple, fair, and transparent, whether you’re returning a bike, an accessory, or a component.
This article explains how our 30-day test ride works, what conditions apply, and how to begin a return or exchange.
For guidance on faulty or damaged items, please see our Faulty or Damaged Items article.
30-Day Test Ride
We want you to be completely happy with your new bike. That’s why every Ribble bike comes with a 30-Day Test Ride, giving you time to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
The 30-day period begins from the date your bike is delivered. During that time, you’re free to ride it and get a real feel for how it performs.
If it’s not quite what you expected, you can return or exchange it within 30 days.
To qualify for a return:
- The bike must be returned in a clean condition, using the original box and protective packaging.
- It must be assembled as it was when delivered.
- Only light use consistent with a short test ride is acceptable – no crash, impact, or damage.
Some bikes are excluded from the 30-Day Test Ride, including Custom Colour, Limited Edition, Ex-Demo, Ex-Display, Team Issue models, and bikes purchased through finance or Cycle to Work schemes.
Parts & Accessories Returns
If you’ve purchased parts or accessories that are unused and in their original packaging, these can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
Items must be unused, unmarked, and returned in their original packaging.
Returns received outside of this 30-day period, or showing any signs of fitting or use, will not be accepted.
Return Conditions
Before returning any item, please review the following:
- Modifications - If any parts have been changed, swapped, or upgraded from the original build, the bike will not be eligible for return or exchange.
- Cleanliness - Bikes must be returned clean. A £30 cleaning fee will apply if the bike arrives in a dirty condition.
- Fitted accessories – Items fitted to the bike (e.g., pedals, mudguards) aren’t covered by the 30-Day Test Ride and can’t be returned unless faulty.
- Packaging - All bikes must be returned using the original Ribble box and protective materials. If you no longer have the packaging, you can request a replacement when completing the returns form. A £30 packaging fee will apply.
- Fees - Bike returns will incur a £130 administration fee, which covers the original outbound delivery, return collection, and processing costs.
Exchanges
If you’d like to change the frame size, handlebar width, or stem length, we offer several options depending on the type of change required.
Frame size exchanges carry a £130 fee, which covers collection, re-dispatch, and processing costs. A new bike will be built to your updated size, and dispatch will depend on component availability and our current production schedule.
Handlebar or stem changes are usually completed through our network of approved service partners or trusted local bike shops; we don’t normally need the bike to return to Ribble HQ for inspection.
The following fees apply:
- Integrated handlebar change – £100
- Standard handlebar change – £75
- Stem change only – £50
If the work needs to be completed at Ribble HQ, additional courier fees may apply.
Requests to change to a different model or groupset are treated as a refund and new purchase.
International Returns
International returns are managed by eShopWorld (ESW), our global payments and logistics partner.
ESW handle all international Ribble orders and returns, managing local taxes, duties, and customs paperwork to make the process as smooth as possible.
If you need to return an order shipped outside the UK, please contact our Customer Service team first. We’ll arrange the return through the ESW portal on your behalf and provide the required documentation for customs and shipping.
Return shipping, customs charges, and any local taxes are the customer’s responsibility.
Refunds for international orders are processed by ESW and will be issued minus any customs duties, local taxes, and shipping costs once your return has been received and inspected.
After You Submit Your Return
Once we receive your return request, we’ll send you confirmation along with a Returns Reference Number (RMA).
This number helps us track your item and process it quickly, please write it clearly on the outer packaging or include it inside the box.
We’ll confirm whether Ribble will arrange the collection or provide you with shipping instructions if you prefer to return the item yourself.
You’ll then receive:
- Confirmation of collection (if arranged) or return shipping instructions.
- Notification once your item arrives at our head office.
- An update after inspection confirming refund or exchange progress.
Refunds & Timelines
Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving and inspecting your returned item.
Any applicable fees listed above will be deducted before we process your refund.
Refunds are made to the original payment method. For finance orders, refunds are handled through your finance provider.
Starting Your Return
