Fitting your integrated bar and stem is simple with the right tools and a bit of care.
Tools you’ll need
Torque wrench
6mm Allen bit
4mm Allen bit
Step 1: Remove top fittings
Take off the bolt, top cap, and 2mm spacer from the top of the fork steerer.
Step 2: Fit the bar assembly
Slide the bar assembly back onto the fork steerer
Make sure it’s seated correctly
If it doesn’t slide on easily, slightly loosen the compression bung bolt at the top of the steerer
Step 3: Secure the compression bung
Apply downward pressure until the bung grips
Tighten with the torque wrench and 6mm Allen bit to 8Nm
Step 4: Re-fit top fittings
Reinstall the 2mm spacer, top cap, and bolt
Tighten the bolt until all play is removed from the headset
To check, apply the front brake and gently rock the bike back and forth
Step 5: Tighten the stem bolts
At the rear of the stem, tighten both bolts evenly
Use the torque wrench with a 4mm Allen bit to 6Nm
Your integrated bar and stem should now be securely fitted and ready to ride.
