If you’re storing your eBike for a few months (for example, over winter), it’s important to look after the battery properly. Good storage keeps it healthy and ready to ride when you are.
Battery care during storage
- Check monthly – Keep an eye on the battery level once a month
- Avoid freezing temps – Store the bike in a dry place above 0°C. Cold conditions can damage battery chemistry
- Top up if needed – If the charge drops to around 20% or lower, give it a boost to between 40–70%
- Every 2 months – Charge the battery close to full (but not 100%, as that stresses the cells)
- Avoid deep discharge – Try not to let the charge regularly drop below 10%
Following these simple steps will keep your battery in great condition during downtime.
